Kiting to the North Pole

This chap is Snow Kiting over the frozen Arctic Ocean. The Kite helpds take some of the strain of the sled that carries food, heating, tent etc. On a windy day (of which thereare many in the Arctic) this means more miles of sea ice travel can be gained.
